Every month brings us new goodies from 7 Deadly s{K}ins. This month is no exception! Let’s get right into the good stuff.
Group Gifts
This month we have two group gifts: Apple for the ladies and Judas for the gentlemen. Each has a free version and a purchasable Offer version (seen above).
I’m an absolute sucker for bold, thick, dark eyeliner. I’ve always loved the edgier looks and the Moreya skin is really doing it for me. With the right mix of shape, hair, and attire she can look like a gothic goddess, a scene queen, a punk princess, or a traditional casual lady. Moreya is created for LeLutka’s Simone and comes in a pack of six tones: Cotton Candy, Sand, Marshmellow, Caramel, Pineapple, and Cashew. The pack can be purchased at Applique for L$699.
Virtue‘s Nevaeh dress is at Fashion Dazzle this month. Each of the four available of the patterns are really cute and show a different personality of Spring.
My second favorite, the red polka dot pattern, reminds me of the ladybugs that always invaded my home each Spring while I was growing up.
The brown with dots makes me think of the wet earth the seasonal showers bring forth.
The blue dotted dress is a beautiful reminder of the warm open skies that come after the rains.
My personal favorite, however, is the white floral design. It feels just perfect for bringing in a warm, breezy Spring day just like the flowers that spring up from the storms.
The Nevaeh Dresses come in 5 standard sizes. Every color shown here is available at Fashion Dazzle for L$155 each. Pics of each are found below.
FurtaCor is known for their quality products and colorful HUDs allowing users to get tons of use out of just one purchase. The Julia Dress is no exception. The low top and open back are great for showing off tattoos or layering with other decorative appliers. The Julia HUD has different color options for the collar (23), tie (8), and the dress (23) giving you access to over 4,000 different combinations.
The versatility of this piece combined with the low cost makes it perfect for avatars who would love to have multiple looks on a budget. You can see three different color combinations in the pics section below, but that’s really just a small sampling of your overall options. If you add in the Mix & Match potential of layering, shoes, and jewelry suddenly the possibilities become endless.
Julia comes in five standard fitmesh sizes as well as Belleza, Slink, and Maitreya sizes. It is exclusive to Fashion Dazzle this month and costs only L$125. Also for sale at the FurtaCor booth is the Dorah set (shorts, top, & sneakers) for L$150, the Loise set (blouse, jeans, shoes, and bag) for L$199, and the Charlie heels for L$125.
Recent dark and fantasy events such as We Love RP, Memento.Mori, and The Dark Style Fair 4 have been grabbing the attention of alternative avatars all through Second Life. In celebration I designed an avatar loosely based on a mythical being from Scottish folklore. The Glaistig is represented in many different ways, but almost all of them share the theme of a woman/goat hybrid. With that in mind I created the creature for this post.
7 Deadly s{K}ins
The skin used for the Glaistig is Nove by 7 Deadly s{K}ins. Nove is found at The Dark Style Fair 4 (aka TDSF4), an event celebrating all things dark. She comes in two packs, both of which include omega appliers for the face and the body in five skin tones. The first package includes the fair tones Snow (shown here), Cotton Candy, Apricot, Sand, and Caramel. The second includes the darker tones Walnut, Chestnut, Taupe, Cashew, and Pineapple. Each pack is on sale for L$699 at the fair.
To find 7 Deadly s{K}ins at TDSF4 simply port in, head West until you reach the pathway, then follow the pathway South. You’ll find 7DS in the last booth on the right.
Hey everyone! Previously I’ve done separate posts for the monthly goodies I show off. This month I’m combining them into one post so you don’t have to wait! So here is the scoop for The Free Dove, 7 Deadly s{K}ins, and Fashion Dazzle!
The Free Dove Mini Hunts
This month we have products from Cremosas, Mutiny in Heaven, and [WellMade]. Remember to wear your group tag for The Free Dove so you can pick up all the items. They can be hidden around The Free Dove and the designers’ stores.
I created today’s avatar in celebration of the Fantasy Faire. Second Life has hundreds, if not thousands, of events but a few things make the Fantasy Faire stand out. First, it’s massive. You’ll find more than 200 designers spanning over a dozen themed sims. Don’t be intimidated though, there’s a handy shopping guide to help you out. Second, it’s extremely in depth. This isn’t just a sale, this is a full fledged Faire. There are live events going on throughout the entire duration of the Faire. Third, and most importantly, the Faire is participating in Relay For Life. As of this post, Second Life has raised over L$4,000,000 (nearly $16,000 USD) for the American Cancer Society.
This is a very important cause for me as my mom beat cancer last year.
7 Deadly s{K}ins
The base for this disturbing yet beautiful moth woman is the skin Opal from 7 Deadly s{K}ins. Opal is a paper white skin, however there are variations for purchase. Each eyebrow color comes in an Omega applier pack with three skin variants including both the face and body. You can choose from pink, blue, white (seen here), grey, or no eyebrows for $L499 each. The fatpack includes all 5 colors as well as black eyebrows for L$1,996.
The Opal shape is also on sale for $L299. The shape is designed for Catwa’s Catya head and Maitreya’s Lara body. The main images in this post don’t use the Opal shape, however you can see it on the promo image below.
Another huge perk of such a pale skin is the tint factor. If you use body parts that have tint options for the skin layer you can tint this white to any available color. It’s wonderful for fantasy avatars of all hues!
April is here and with it tons of fun stuff from 7 Deadly s{K}ins. Read on to learn about the VIP group (and perks), the Easter Egg Hunt, Upcoming Events, and opportunities to work with 7DS.
VIP Group
Right now 7DS’ VIP group is FREE to join! If you aren’t already in the group I strongly suggest you join now as there is generally a fee. Group members get two free skins every month: one for males and one for females. You also get access to the store’s mini and midnight mania boards, lucky chairs, VIP group discounts, and access to sim events like the Easter Egg Hunt mentioned below. The group chat is also tons of fun and Izara (creator of 7DS) shows up from time to time too.
The two group gifts this month are Diana and Bo, both shown here. Diana is a system skin for the ladies that comes with omega body skin appliers. Bo is for the men and includes omega appliers for both the head and the body. The face was designed for Catwa heads, however it can be applied on any omega compatible mesh head.
It’s time for the Black Fair! Purchasable at the fair is the exclusive Maureen skin by 7 Deadly s{K}ins. Images in this post feature Maureen as she visits the RMS Titanic.
Black Fair
Formerly known as the Black Fashion Fair, Black Fair is an event focused on the color black. While designers may have multiple products the exclusive products must have black as the dominant color. Of course items like poses and skins get a little leeway with this policy. Dozens of designers of all types can be found at this event. Black Fair runs through April 21, 2017.
Maureen
Maureen is another lovely low makeup skin from 7DS. Purchased by skin tone (16 tones sold separately) she comes with 5 different color eyebrow options for L$750. She was designed for LAQ, however comes in Omega appliers. This post shows her off on Catwa‘s Lona. One of my favorite parts about this skin is the single HUD. One click and you’ve applied your head and body, and yes she uses the new body skins! I also love that she comes with an option for red eyebrows. Gingers, rejoice!
While many of us use fully mesh avatars some people do prefer the look (and price!) of the classic avatars, otherwise known as system avatars. Some people do a mix of both, utilizing a system head with a mesh body, mesh hands with the system body, or other combinations. Today check out this system skin Magna by 7 Deadly s{K}ins.
Magna At Designer’s Circle
Designer’s Circle is a constantly rotating event. Each session runs for two weeks before taking a small break and opening anew with fresh products. It’s a wonderful place to get quality poses, clothing, skins, and more for low prices. The current Designer’s Circle ends on April 15.
7DS brought Magna to the event this round, further proving that even though mesh is popular there is still demand for systems skins. Magna comes in Cotton Candy, Sand, Apricot, Taupe, and Cashew. Each skin tone can be purchased for L$199 and includes four versions: with brows and freckles, with brows and no freckles, with freckles and no brows, and no brows no freckles. Also included is the matching skin tone’s Omega applier for mesh bodies. Please note the applier is only for bodies. The face is available only for system heads, not mesh heads. If you’re interested make sure to pick her up at Designer’s Circle before the 15th!
