Four times a year Second Life is graced with the event known as Memento.Mori. The event caters to the macabre, horror, and Gothic sides of Second Life. This is a great opportunity for those of you who like unique avatars. At this event you’ll find a far different look than the stereotypical pretty outfits and makeups. Regardless I, and many others, still see much beauty in the products.
Memento.Mori opened last night at 3PM SLT. It will close May 27, 2017 at 9PM SLT. Make sure to get in and see all the cool things! Today you get to sneak a peek at some awesome gore tattoos by ~SongBird~.
In Love With A Monster
The first thing I noticed when putting on In Love With A Monster was how deep the wounds appeared. They aren’t just scratch marks; you’ll notice the tender skin around the wounds themselves. This is perfect for any avatar looking for harsh wounds on the back. The tender skin is more noticeable on pale skin, however the scratches still work wonderfully on darker tons as well. The way the marks fit the body looks painful yet oddly elegant. They work in both a sexual setting where the scratches may have come from somebody in front of you and in an attack setting where perhaps you were mauled from behind.
In Love With A Monster comes in tattoo layers and omega appliers. It is for sale at Memento.Mori for $L150.
Blaspheme
Also available at the event are these facial scratches that go wonderfully with In Love With A Monster. The marks, called Blaspheme, can be worn over both eyes (as seen here) or one at a time. The scratch goes down the eyelid as well so if your eyes are closed it lines up. While Blaspheme appears to be a slightly older wound than In Love With A Monster it still matches well and can appear same-day fresh depending on your windlight settings.
Blaspheme comes in tattoo layers and omega appliers. It is for sale at Memento.Mori for $L150.
Added Bonus
The Lacquer Lipstick by ~SongBird~ (seen in this post) is for sale at the main store and the Marketplace for $L150.
Memento.Mori is a large spread out event. I encourage you to explore the entire sim, however if you’re just looking to pick up these tattoos here is a quick video to show you how to find the ~SongBird~ booth.
