Pros, Neutral Notes, and Cons
Other things of note to consider that haven’t been mentioned above.
Pros
- 2.0 had brought Genus back into the modern realm of heads with the universal neck seam, smoother animations, and an HD skin option.
Neutral Notes
- Version 2.0 removed Omega compatibility, but the head still comes with version 1.7 which you can wear if you want to use your Omega appliers.
- Genus still supports applier skins which some folks will love and some will hate. For those looking to reduce complexity, there isn’t a version without the applier support.
Cons
- Genus had a lull in updates for quite some time. As such lots of third party support has waned. With the big update of their heads and creation of masculine heads we may see more support in the future. Only time will tell.
- Some of the facial poses and animations are a little buggy. In my testing I found undeforming seemed to give me a permanent angry eyebrow look.
