Hey everyone! Previously I’ve done separate posts for the monthly goodies I show off. This month I’m combining them into one post so you don’t have to wait! So here is the scoop for The Free Dove, 7 Deadly s{K}ins, and Fashion Dazzle!
The Free Dove Mini Hunts
This month we have products from Cremosas, Mutiny in Heaven, and [WellMade]. Remember to wear your group tag for The Free Dove so you can pick up all the items. They can be hidden around The Free Dove and the designers’ stores.
GeMyles has created a fun exclusive camouflage set for this month’s Fashion Dazzle. It can be worn as is for a casual setting yet it’s easily spruced up with jewelry for a more formal look. The set includes both the Arianna Dress and Monaliza heels for only L$99.
Let’s start with the Arianna Dress. I really love the low cut on the front as well as the open back. It’s great for showing off any tattoos or just a bit of sexiness. I’m also a big fan of layering, which this dress lends itself well to. Sexy applier lingerie, especially one with a decorative back, would look wonderful with this.
Four times a year Second Life is graced with the event known as Memento.Mori. The event caters to the macabre, horror, and Gothic sides of Second Life. This is a great opportunity for those of you who like unique avatars. At this event you’ll find a far different look than the stereotypical pretty outfits and makeups. Regardless I, and many others, still see much beauty in the products.
Memento.Mori opened last night at 3PM SLT. It will close May 27, 2017 at 9PM SLT. Make sure to get in and see all the cool things! Today you get to sneak a peek at some awesome gore tattoos by ~SongBird~.
In Love With A Monster
The first thing I noticed when putting on In Love With A Monster was how deep the wounds appeared. They aren’t just scratch marks; you’ll notice the tender skin around the wounds themselves. This is perfect for any avatar looking for harsh wounds on the back. The tender skin is more noticeable on pale skin, however the scratches still work wonderfully on darker tons as well. The way the marks fit the body looks painful yet oddly elegant. They work in both a sexual setting where the scratches may have come from somebody in front of you and in an attack setting where perhaps you were mauled from behind.
Since discovering The Free Dove, I’ve decided to showcase one look a week with items from the store. Welcome to the twelfth installment of Free Dove Friday!
I created today’s avatar in celebration of the Fantasy Faire. Second Life has hundreds, if not thousands, of events but a few things make the Fantasy Faire stand out. First, it’s massive. You’ll find more than 200 designers spanning over a dozen themed sims. Don’t be intimidated though, there’s a handy shopping guide to help you out. Second, it’s extremely in depth. This isn’t just a sale, this is a full fledged Faire. There are live events going on throughout the entire duration of the Faire. Third, and most importantly, the Faire is participating in Relay For Life. As of this post, Second Life has raised over L$4,000,000 (nearly $16,000 USD) for the American Cancer Society.
This is a very important cause for me as my mom beat cancer last year.
7 Deadly s{K}ins
The base for this disturbing yet beautiful moth woman is the skin Opal from 7 Deadly s{K}ins. Opal is a paper white skin, however there are variations for purchase. Each eyebrow color comes in an Omega applier pack with three skin variants including both the face and body. You can choose from pink, blue, white (seen here), grey, or no eyebrows for $L499 each. The fatpack includes all 5 colors as well as black eyebrows for L$1,996.
The Opal shape is also on sale for $L299. The shape is designed for Catwa’s Catya head and Maitreya’s Lara body. The main images in this post don’t use the Opal shape, however you can see it on the promo image below.
Another huge perk of such a pale skin is the tint factor. If you use body parts that have tint options for the skin layer you can tint this white to any available color. It’s wonderful for fantasy avatars of all hues!
Since discovering The Free Dove, I’ve decided to showcase one look a week with items from the store. Welcome to the eleventh installment of Free Dove Friday!
Welcome to the final Fashion Dazzle post of April. Today you get to peek at an adorable swimwear set and a sexy wet tank and shorts outfit! Make sure to visit Fashion Dazzle before it closes on April 26.
Lurve Beachwear Set
Spring is the perfect time to go swimsuit shopping. Many IRL shops have suits out, why not grab yours in Second Life too? This cute set from Lurve is sold in four different colors. Each set includes the swimsuit, sunglasses, and flip flops. It comes in four colors: Aqua, Pink, Sunshine (seen here), and Sky Blue. You can purchase each color for L$195 each or the fatpack for L$695.
Lurve also has a mesh cardigan sweater and mini dress at their booth.
[satus Inc] Shorts & Top
Warmer weather means it’s finally time to break out the short and sexy outfits. This tank and shorts set from [satus Inc] is perfect for hanging out at the beach or running errands. The set comes in 6 colors: Black, Pink, Purple, Blue, Wet (seen here), and White. Each set comes with both black (seen here) and blue shorts. The wet version is semi transparent which is great for any beach activities or showing off whatever you have on (or not) underneath.
You can also find two windmills for sale at the [satus Inc] booth.
Baby Monkey‘s products are as cute as their name implies. The designer has a booth at this month’s Fashion Dazzle selling five wonderful products for women, each with an optional add on HUD sold separately.
Product Basics
Each Basic product can be purchased for L$400 and the Spring HUD addon can be purchased for L$200. The Basic set gives you ten colors and the Spring HUD adds another ten. Please note that the Spring HUD addon is JUST the HUD. In order to use it you need the Basic product.
Spring brings us so many fun things, aside from allergies of course. This post shows off some of the most noticeable: dresses, flowers, and a dress with flowers! The looks used today can be purchased at Fashion Dazzle‘s Spring event through April 26.
EccentriciXi
This gorgeous floral dress by EccentriciXi is exclusive to Fashion Dazzle. I love all the pinks, light purples, and reds in the flowers. Paired with the green sash it really pushes the idea that Spring is here and I’m ready for it. It can be purchased at Fashion Dazzle for $L99.
This post was originally planned for Sunday but I got too excited to wait, so here you go!
The Pose Fair is here! This is the time where bloggers and photographers do a little happy dance and drown themselves in beautiful poses. You don’t have to be the photo type to enjoy the Pose Fair, though. Poses are perfect for making your avatar look awesome no matter where you are. Grab some poses and show off! All poses used in this post are from this Pose Fair.
What To Expect
You’ll find poses for men, women, children, and couples. There are props, scenes, and standalone poses. Many poses are exclusive to the Pose Fair so make sure to check those out too.
Keep an eye out for free gifts and group gifts from some designers. A few brands will also have LMs to the demo section of the sim for showing off their photography booths.
This is a long list! There are over 90 designers participating in this event. The list below corresponds to the map shown above. Some designers have multiple booths and as such are listed twice. The links in this post go to the designers’ stores, not to their booth. To find their location at the Pose Fair click on the map above to make it full size for easier navigation. All images in this section are credited with the pose only. The full version of the image and full credits can be found at the end of the post.
